What's the Opportunity? Anchor QEA is looking for a Legal Services Coordinator. The Legal team helps Anchor QEA achieve strategic goals, manage legal risk, and uphold the legal and ethical integrity of the organization. Our focus is providing comprehensive legal advice to foster sound decision-making. The Legal Services Coordinator reports to the In-House Counsel and will assist the legal department in many facets of corporate law, from contract negotiations to maintaining company licensing. The Legal Services Coordinator will offer services in a variety of corporate matters and other specific business legal needs. Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, including service agreements, joint venture agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Manage certificate of interest requests, including drafting, reviewing, and maintaining
accurate records.
- Conduct legal research and prepare supporting memoranda for attorneys and business units.
- Prepare, file, and maintain corporate documents related to licensing, registrations, and ongoing compliance.
- Support corporate governance functions, including maintaining corporate records, resolutions, and filings.
- Respond to internal and external requests for information, including regulators, partners, and shareholders.
- Assist with ethics and compliance initiatives, including policies, training, and audits.
- Develop, maintain, and update the legal document database and contract management system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies and applicable laws.
- Manage multiple projects, balance competing deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What Are We Looking For? We are open to different professional backgrounds for this role. The ideal candidate could be:
- A paralegal with significant in-house or corporate legal experience, or
- A JD (preferred) with an interest in corporate legal operations, or
- A legal coordinator with several years of substantial hands-on experience supporting legal departments.
Additional qualifications include:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience drafting, cite-checking, and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Familiarity with corporate governance, licensing requirements, and regulatory filings.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to evolving processes, technologies, and business needs.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and standard business applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel).
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program, or a demonstrated combination of relevant education, proven legal experience, and certifications related to legal knowledge or organizational skills
- Commitment to protecting company and client confidentiality.
