Job Description

Check out components to assembly and tugger drivers. Organize and using a reach truck to pull parts down to then correctly restock as needed. Do checks on arriving shipments and separate by plant. Perform inventory transactions using an RF scanner and computer.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Responsible for 5S
  • Understand that the component cage and racks are a controlled area
  • Maintain part inventory for production to run smoothly
  • Know the procedure of who to ask
  • Transfer parts distributed out of/or received into the cage using RF scanner
  • Verify bar codes, labels and quantity
  • Pull parts requested by Production or other personnel per list or via email
  • Maintain inventory in JDE with cycle counts and make necessary corrections
  • Restock cage parts as needed and do not overstock
  • Responsible for breaking down mixed skid(s) of components and separating parts to correct plant


  • Communication during shift change about pertinent information
  • Communicate with receiving clerks if there are any discrepancies on orders
  • Any other duties assigned by team leader or supervisor



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:




  • 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience with reach truck preferred
  • Prior experience with cycle counting and computers preferred
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to multitask
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • High School Diploma

Requirements

Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
  • Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts)



Mental Requirements:



  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow procedures and safety protocols
  • Basic math and inventory skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
