We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Intern to support our accounting department at RISE. The Accounting Intern will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks and assisting with day-to-day operations of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Enter, update, and maintain financial data in accounting systems
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Verify accuracy of financial documents and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain filing systems for financial records (digital and paper)


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; with a large amount of computer work being required, position requires clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Candidate must be able to sit for a large amount of the work shift and constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a phone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Position entails occasional standing and walking.

Position type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a Seasonal position. Days and hours of work are part time, 3 days a week, 2:30pm-4:30pm.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience



  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word or similar applications.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Prior office experience preferred
