The Spectrum Office at Georgia State University is seeking to hire an experienced candidate for the Information Systems Specialist position.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position is responsible for supporting all HR IT applications, software, configurations and integrations, as we continue to evolve and enhance existing HR IT technology as part of our transformation. The position will understand detailed knowledge of Operating Systems, Hardware and Application configurations. The primary responsibility of role will be to build, configure and support various aspects of the ServiceNow and Taleo platforms in support of delivering a solid service management tool to HRA and university wide. Reporting and resolving errors and integrating solutions based on needs of the organization. All application environments should support the timely delivery of service and quality enhanced experiences for customers and facilitate collaborative ways for our teams to work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Act as technical SME and lead discussions of discovery and use of functional components provided by the system.

  • Develop, configure and improve core and custom applications.

  • Work directly with end users to resolve support issues on various HRA core and custom applications.

  • Load, manipulate and maintain data integrations between various HRA applications.

  • Documents, tracks and monitors all problems and requests to ensure a timely resolution.

  • Perform day-to-day support, administration and maintenance of the various HRA applications.

  • Provide standard account administration and maintenance as required to adequately support users.

  • Monitor system health, usage, and overall compliance on core and custom applications and systems.

  • Develop systems integrations and process automation.

  • Perform installation and testing of updates and new releases.

  • Develop clear and concise technical and process documentation.

  • Collaborate with key contacts within IIT, HRA leadership, manage third party vendor interactions and access to HRA systems and applications.

  • Provide application support as needed on HRA projects.

  • Serve as backup for Workforce Analytics Specialist role.

  • Assign or modify user permissions as needed for software distribution for various applications.

  • Provide technical support to end users to resolve download and installation issues.

  • Balancing support requirements with project related tasks and assist with restoring the functionality of service for end-users.

  • Escalate to and communicate with Software partners support entities to resolve difficult issues on end user's behalf.

  • Plan, coordinate and execute technical projects and major updates.

  • ServiceNow Specific duties.

  • Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each.

  • Create and configure Notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow.

  • Maintain all of the above.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems and three years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Office Suite, Operating Systems)

  • ServiceNow, Oracle product suite (Taleo, etc.)

  • Effective time management, customer service, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Effective oral and written communication with internal and external customers.

  • Knowledge of Client-side scripting, CSS, Java scripting, ITIL

  • A+ Certification or Apple Certification
