We are hiring a Collection Planning Analyst immediately to join our team in Longmont, CO. This position works M-F in the office in Longmont. As the need varies, this may move to a 4-day work week, working four ten-hour days.

What you will do:

In this role, you will balance a daily focus on the execution of the near-term collection plan with a strategic view of the future state of Maxar's constellation. You will manage satellite collection objectives in support of existing and potential requirements for Maxar's customers, including the satellite's orbit, cloud coverage, customer prioritization, and more. You will utilize a variety of technical systems, business intelligence, weather/climate data, and collaboration with customers to accomplish your mission.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Daily management or monitoring over the constellation collection schedule

  • Perform analysis of future and current projects for estimated completion timelines

  • Facilitate procedure creation and maintenance

  • Responsible for supporting the implementation of collection strategies, capacity management and operational workflows to meet customer requirements

  • Conduct post-mission analyses to evaluate the success of the mission and identify areas for improvement

  • Work closely with operational and customer facing stakeholders to maintain visibility on collection fulfillment schedules

  • Provide effective performance-related communication with team members, cross-departmental staff, and customers regarding status, milestones, issues, and resolutions

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities under time-sensitive deadlines

  • Support improvements to operational process and systems needed to execute the mission with efficiency and effectiveness

  • Escalate operational issues as needed with team management and technical support teams

  • Daily coordination with Mission Operations & Mission Engineering Leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S.GovernmentSecretsecurity clearance or an ability to acquire/maintain a clearance

  • Associate's degree in engineering, GIS, geography, math, physics, or a related field. Two additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree

  • Experience in an operations or satellite planning systems environment

  • Experience working with GIS software

  • Ability to accommodate support outside of regular work hours as required for a 24/7 Operations environment

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments

  • Must possess/demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Calm disposition in stressful situations

  • Ability to support time-sensitive requirements

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

* The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $59,000.00 - $99,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
