Job Description

The College of Arts and Science (A&S) at the University of Missouri is seeking a highly collaborative and detail-oriented professional to lead our undergraduate recruitment efforts. A&S is the largest and most diverse academic division at Mizzou, with 25 departments and 40+ undergraduate degrees.

This dynamic role is ideal for someone passionate about student engagement, strategic communication, and building connections across the college, university, and beyond. The successful candidate will serve as the recruitment lead for A&S undergraduate programs and help shape how prospective students experience and connect with the college.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate recruitment activities, such as:
  • Manage prospective student visits to A&S in coordination with faculty and academic advisors.
  • Oversee the A&S Ambassador program including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance feedback.
  • Serve as a liaison and collaborator with MU Admissions, A&S departments and programs, academic advisors, and other college recruiters.
  • Develop and implement a multi-modal communication strategy targeting prospective first-time college students and transfer students in partnership with A&S Communications and MU Admissions.
  • Develop and support strategic initiatives aligned with the college's enrollment goals.
  • Analyze recruitment data to inform outreach strategies, with a focus on targeted populations, including transfer students and students with specific academic interests.
  • Manage the prospective student inbox, inquiries, and delegating responses to appropriate stakeholders.

Shift

Generally, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with occasional evening and weekends expected.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with a preference for a degree in an Arts and Science academic discipline. A master's degree in student affairs, higher education, communication, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in student recruitment, admissions, advising, or related student services.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with student ambassador programs or peer mentorship models is highly desirable.
  • Data-informed mindset with the ability to adapt strategies based on performance metrics.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $52,915.20 - $68,000 annually

Grade: GGS - 9E
