Position Summary The Data Center Critical Environment (CE) Team Lead plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of mission-critical infrastructure within a large-scale data center. This individual will lead a team of technicians, manage daily operations, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain optimal performance of electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Supervision * Lead and mentor CE technicians, ensuring 24/7 operational coverage. * Develop shift schedules and delegate tasks effectively. * Enforce safety, training, and operational compliance. Operations & Maintenance * Oversee monitoring and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems. * Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs. * Minimize disruptions during system changes or outages. Client & Vendor Coordination * Serve as the primary contact for clients, vendors, and contractors. * Ensure quality and safety compliance during third-party work. Infrastructure Planning & Support * Assist with server installations, upgrades, and infrastructure changes. * Support disaster recovery testing and emergency preparedness. Reporting & Documentation * Maintain accurate records of system performance, incidents, and maintenance. * Provide timely updates to management and stakeholders. Required Qualifications * OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification (mandatory) * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent * 5+ years of experience in technical fields (e.g., electrical, controls, data center) * Experience with electrical systems in high-availability environments (e.g., data centers, hospitals, manufacturing) * Ability to work flexible schedules including 12-hour shifts and rotating shifts * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Preferred Qualifications * EPA Refrigerant License * Experience with Building Management Systems (EPMS) * Familiarity with HVAC, UPS, generators, and BMS systems * Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) Top Skills * 3+ years managing critical infrastructure in a commercial data center * Team leadership in mechanical infrastructure monitoring * Refrigerant license Additional Details Pay Rate: $35.00 - $50.00/hour Bill Rate: $83.10/hour Total Burden: 29% Drug Test Required: No Sub-Vendor Use: Not permitted Exclusive: No Go To Work: No Employee Value Proposition (EVP) Join the global leader in cloud and data center technologies and contribute to the backbone of modern digital infrastructure. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
