Job Summary

This job should not be used going forward and is scheduled to be inactivated. Please use the primary/parent role SA0267 Surgery Scheduler instead.

Essential Functions

• All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.

• Schedules surgery and other procedures into computer system. Ensures scheduling data is accurate and complete. Finds solutions to scheduling problems by looking for other days and time that can be offered or by involving managers as necessary to become involved in decision making process.

• Enters patient charges into the appropriate computer system. Ensures charges are accurate. Clarifies questions regarding missing charges.

• Performs general office duties. Greets and directs patients, visitors' staff, physicians and other traffic coming into the unit. Answers telephone and responds appropriately to the needs of callers.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibility

• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

• Education - High School diploma or equivalent

• Experience - Two (2) years related work experience. Scheduling procedures experience preferred

• Skill testing may be required based on departmental needs. Testing may include typing, math, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and/or specific Microsoft Office software applications.
