Description Our customer is seeking a highly skilled macOS Engineering Expert to lead the design and implementation of enterprise support for Mac OS devices. This role is part of a strategic initiative to expand our end user compute environment beyond Windows, integrating Mac OS into our corporate IT infrastructure using Microsoft Intune and Apple Business Manager. You will serve as the subject matter expert for Mac OS device management, collaborating closely with a small, Houston-based team to build scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions. This is an engineering-focused role-not help desk support-and requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities Architect and implement Mac OS support infrastructure using Microsoft Intune Integrate Platform SSO with Entra ID for seamless corporate authentication Define and enforce macOS security policies and best practices Automate application deployment using Bash scripting and Intune packaging Configure and manage Apple Business Manager for device enrollment Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance, performance, and scalability Provide third-level troubleshooting and engineering support during rollout Document processes, policies, and technical configurations Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience managing macOS devices in enterprise environments Proven expertise with Microsoft Intune for macOS management Hands-on experience with Platform SSO and Entra ID integration Proficiency in Bash scripting (ZSH/SSH also acceptable) Familiarity with Apple Business Manager and automated enrollment workflows Strong understanding of enterprise security and compliance frameworks Experience supporting large-scale environments (10,000+ devices preferred) Excellent communication and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs Certifications: Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator, JAMF Certified Tech, VMware VCP-DW Prior consulting or leadership experience in mobility engineering History in energy, financial services, or enterprise IT environments Skills Support, Troubleshooting, macOS, Intune, sso, apple iOS, scripting, bash scripting, engineering Top Skills Details Support, Troubleshooting, macOS, Intune, sso, apple iOS, scripting, bash scripting, engineering Additional Skills & Qualifications From the VMS: Position Overview - Job Title: Mac OS Device Engineer We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mac OS Engineer to join our End User Compute team.
