Job Posting: Project Technician - Retail Technology Installations About the Role TEKsystems is seeking experienced Project Technicians to support technology installations across major retail and restaurant chains. Our client partners include household names like McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, Target, Costco, Louis Vuitton, and Old Navy. Whether it's a new store build or a tech upgrade, you'll be the boots-on-the-ground expert ensuring seamless deployment of systems like POS, audiovisual, security, and networking infrastructure. What You'll Do * Install and configure systems including POS terminals, CCTV, access control, audiovisual setups, alarms, and wireless networks * Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to execute precise installations * Run and terminate Cat6 and low-voltage cabling * Collaborate with on-site customers and report to the Project Manager to ensure quality and satisfaction * Travel to job sites with mileage reimbursement and flexible scheduling Skills & Technologies Core SkillsAdditional ExpertiseCat6 CablingAlarm InstallationCCTV SystemsPunchdown PanelsAccess ControlPOS System SetupAudiovisualLow Voltage WiringStructured CablingCustomer Interaction Schedule & Travel * Schedules provided weeks in advance via Android app (iPhone support coming soon) * Expect variable hours including weekends, early mornings, and overnights * No on-call duties * Receive $0.60/mile reimbursement for all travel to and from job sites Preferred Qualifications * Certifications like CCNA, Network+, A+, or BICSI are a plus but not required * Strong communication and customer service skills * Ability to work independently after initial training period Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
