POSITION SUMMARY

The Steamboat Recruiting Department is looking for an administrative rock star to join our team from approximately September 2025 through January 2026. The Recruiting Administrative Assistant will support Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation's Recruiting Team during our hiring ramp up for winter season.

This position will assist with the hiring process, including communication with candidates, hiring managers, and the Onboarding Team. This position will assist in the screening of all applications Steamboat receives. This position will also work with the Recruiting Team to assist with creating and posting on-brand content on our social channels. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Track and screen applications
  • Decline applicants that do not meet the minimum qualifications for a posted position
  • Check rehire eligibility for previous Steamboat &/or Alterra employees
  • Pass qualified prescreened applicants to hiring managers
  • Answer general employment questions from potential applicants
  • Assist with the completion of Recruiting help desk tickets within Fresh Service system.
  • Complete assigned administrative duties such as taking effective meeting notes, tracking/updating recruiting calendar, organizing recruiting files, and other tasks
  • Assist with posting, reviewing, maintaining, updating, and removing, when necessary, any job postings on third party websites
  • Assist with any administrative tasks relating to international employees; including but not limited to: communication, logistics, roster updates, status tracking.
  • Assist the Recruiting Coordinator with employee-focused social channels, including producing, editing, and uploading social media content (videos, photos, and other multimedia products)
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all employees, applicants, and HR business.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives within recruiting - propose solutions and ideas to find more efficient ways to deliver HR support.
  • Other duties, as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 years prior experience in an office environment with knowledge of administration functions
  • Ability to problem-solve in a highly effective manner
  • Highly organized and able to work in a busy and sometimes stressful environment
  • Strong knowledge and ability to work a wide variety of software programs: including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and Desktop publishing
  • Previous knowledge of producing engaging content for Tik-Tok and Instagram, preferred (including photo and video content)
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Some college is preferred


The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Professional appearance and proper office and phone etiquette
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. (training materials, AV equipment, etc.)
  • Must be able to sit and operate a computer for extended lengths of time
  • Must be able to Ski/Snowboard at an intermediate level
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
