The Clinical Consultant collaborates with sales, account management, and other business SMEs to develop and execute client-specific strategies across the Decision Support client base. This role leverages solid clinical, analytical, and industry knowledge to build relationships with senior executives and operational leaders. The goal is to understand strategic priorities and identify opportunities to leverage decision management solutions. Responsibilities include supporting pre- and post-sales activities, delivering advisory services, and contributing to product implementations from a clinical consulting perspective.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Assist sales in consultative discussions and product demonstrations for strategic or top-tier accounts, especially those requiring specialized support
  • Contribute to the development of sales collateral and provide input on content and messaging
  • Conduct product and solution demonstrations and presentations to customer executives to validate ROI opportunities and review clinical workflows
  • Lead clinical reviews of solution blueprints to validate design and workflow impact
  • Support validation of client business problems and participate in the sales process with comprehensive portfolio knowledge
  • Maintain domain and product expertise by collaborating with clinical, services, and product teams; train others as needed
  • Serve as the senior clinical resource responsible for developing, completing, and presenting consulting deliverables and procedural plans
  • Provide both immediate solution recommendations and long-term roadmap guidance for assigned clients, collaborating with CHC resources to ensure successful delivery
  • Assess client risks and engage appropriate business SMEs for defined activities
  • Ensure clients fully understand the solution portfolio and workflows to maximize value
  • Partner with analytics leads to conduct value analysis and share findings with internal teams and clients

Required Qualifications:



  • Registered Nurse with 10+ years of experience in care management, utilization management, and consulting
  • Proven solid executive presence and communication skills, with experience engaging clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, including C-suite executives
  • Proven subject matter expertise in InterQual, MCG, or Xsolis content
  • Proven in-depth knowledge of case and care management workflows and denials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, for building business cases and supporting consultative efforts
  • Proven understanding of healthcare industry trends and strategic considerations for payers and providers
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to support data-driven consulting and solution optimization
  • Willingness to travel 25%
  • Driver's License and access to reliable transportation



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree
  • Experience with technical application implementation in the healthcare payer or provider industry

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
