Summary: The Rehabilitation Services Department at the Center for Rehabilitation Care is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist II to join our Outpatient Neurologic Rehabilitation team. This position involves delivering comprehensive, evidence-based occupational therapy services across a wide range of neurologic diagnoses, including long COVID, stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, muscular dystrophy, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and more. Ideal candidates will bring strong time management, clinical reasoning, and communication skills. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of occupational therapy experience, with at least six (6) months of outpatient neurologic rehabilitation experience. Experience in interdisciplinary clinics and with complex diagnoses is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Select and administer appropriate occupational therapy evaluation procedures; establish individualized treatment goals; develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in response to patient progress and discharge planning.
- Manage resources effectively to accomplish patient-centered goals while balancing productivity and high-quality care.
- Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes accurately and in compliance with UNC Health standards.
- Provide mentorship and clinical supervision to OT students, new graduates, or junior staff.
- Actively participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
- Serve as a resource for advanced clinical practice in outpatient neurologic rehabilitation, including providing in-service education to peers and interdisciplinary colleagues.
