What this position entails

IntelliScript's Information Technology team has been a key part of our success and is critical to our future as we migrate our platforms from on-premises to AWS and modernize our customer-facing APIs and web applications. In this role, you will establish and lead a comprehensive quality program that ensures our products meet the highest standards of reliability, security, and customer satisfaction, with an emphasis on transitioning from manual to automated testing. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for more immediate process improvements that can enhance our testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Your role will entail mentoring and coaching of our Quality Assurance Engineers, with close collaboration across the practice to enhance our quality practice. You will work closely with the development, product, and operations teams to ensure that our quality objectives are aligned with our business goals and customer expectations. You will also be expected to define and implement quality metrics, standards, best practices, and communication plan. Your leadership will be instrumental in building a scalable, cloud-ready quality infrastructure and embedding quality into every stage of our software development lifecycle. What you will be doing



  • Act in a player/coach capacity leading the collaborative effort to design and implement a robust quality assurance program that supports both legacy and cloud-native applications
  • Mentor and support teams implementing test automation, including unit testing, integration testing, performance, and end-to-end testing
  • Assess team skills and capabilities, and develop tailored training and mentoring plans to support cloud, automation, and modern testing practices
  • Manage one or more automation engineers while facilitating collaboration across our quality assurance engineers embedded in scrum teams
  • Drive our development teams towards best practices and increased automation
  • Manage the search, evaluation and PoC of 3rd party tools that will support the overall test strategy
  • Define, track, and communicate key quality metrics and OKRs to guide improvements and celebrate progress
  • Work with the development teams to create standardized documentation and test management procedures
  • Be an advocate and expert for quality and testing across the entire software development life cycle


What we need



  • 5 - 10+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance, automated and manual testing
  • Experience establishing and scaling quality programs in organizations undergoing cloud migration and technology transformation
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Prior experience with leading by influence and mentoring team members
  • Experience building and testing in the cloud (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Proven experience elevating the quality practices of software development teams, pertaining to both legacy stack and future modernization
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle practices
  • Ability to ramp up quickly on both new technologies and existing technologies
  • Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills
  • Excellent collaborative skills, with strong written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated team player who can run with a project and is willing to pitch in as needed

Location

The expected application deadline for this job is October 15, 2025. This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI; however, candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the U.S. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI for quarterly PI Planning and the annual team meeting.

The overall salary range for this role is $104,900 - $232,680. For candidates residing in:



  • Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia:

    • $115,390 - $190, 410 if overall experience is less than 10 years; and
    • $129,250 - $213,290 for experience greater than 10 years.


  • New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco:

    • $125,880 - $207,720 if overall experience is less than 10 years; and
    • $141,000 - $232,680 for experience greater than 10 years.


  • All other states:

    • $104,900 - $173,100 if overall experience is less than 10 years; and
    • $117,500 - $193,900 for experience greater than 10 years.




A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
