Athletic Trainer, Part Time

The opportunity

SNHU is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northeast 10 Conference. As a part-time Athletic Trainer, you will report to the Head Athletic Trainer and help provide medical coverage to assigned sports along with injury prevention, recognition, treatment, rehabilitation, and maintenance of accurate records of injuries. You will support our athletes at our Manchester, NH campus. This a part time, as needed position.

What you'll do:

• Help provide medical coverage to assigned sports
• Injury prevention, recognition, treatment, rehabilitation, and maintenance of accurate records of injuries
• Communicate daily with our coaches and student athletes along with ensuring the safety of patients and staff by enforcing OSHA policies and safety procedures
• Maintain a strict adherence to our established University athletic training procedures
• Perform systemic evaluation of athletic injuries
• Help develop rehabilitation programs for multiple common athletic injuries
• Other responsibilities as assigned. Job responsibilities can change at any time, with or without notice.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training
• Active New Hampshire state Athletic Training license
• 1+ years of working experience in an athletic training setting with knowledge of therapeutic modalities, adhesive strapping techniques, therapeutic/preventative exercise protocols
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Part time varying hours depending on availability, team schedules, and department need.
