The Compensation Operations Manager will be responsible for the design and management of nVent's job and compensation architecture as well as standard processes that ensure both market competitiveness and internal equity. This position will also have responsibility for leading initiatives that ensure that nVent's compensation framework complies with statutory or legislative requirements. This position requires a strategic planner with a strong analytical foundation to deliver results with accountability and collaboration.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Oversee and guide the governance and execution of nVent's standardized global compensation architecture components, including but not limited to: job framework (catalog) & leveling; annual benchmarking survey processes; and pay structure reviews and implementation.
  • Lead nVent's annual global compensation planning process with strong project management skills to ensure accuracy and successful execution of merit, short-term, and long-term incentive planning
  • Oversee and support mandatory or statutory pay increase processes, worldwide
  • Establish regular monitoring of compensation-related laws and regulations, worldwide, and lead the development and implementation of compliance-based actions. This includes but is not limited to pay transparency requirements, India Labour Code changes, minimum wage legislation, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in compensation infrastructure processes, tools, and analytics.
  • Lead, and mentor a team, setting expectations, assessing performance, and supporting career growth & development.
  • Manage relationships and collaboration with compensation vendors (benchmarking vendors, etc.)
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business or another related field. MBA or Master's in Finance or Human Resources a plus. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification a plus.
  • 7+ years of progressive broad-based compensation experience including 2+ years in a manager role, preferably in the manufacturing and industrial industry. Global compensation experience required.
  • Leading compensation (merit) planning processes through successful project management.
  • Advanced HRIS systems experience, preferably Workday. Experience with Human Resources (HR) systems configuration and reporting.
  • Manufacturing experience or experience with hourly production compensation highly desirable.
  • Advanced understanding of third-party compensation survey participation requirements and job benchmarking.
  • Highly accountable self-starter, comfortable working independently as well as displaying strong team collaboration.
  • Strategic and data driven approach with the agility to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to establish relationships at all organizational levels and across cultures.
  • English (Advanced level), other languages a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time, domestically or internationally.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$105,000.00 - $195,000.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
