The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Reporting to the Senior Executive Vice President and the Chief of Staff in the Office of the SEVP, the Executive Assistant provides executive-level administrative and operational support to ensure the seamless function of a fast-paced, high-performing leadership office. Leveraging sound judgment and anticipatory thinking to align priorities and facilitate decision-making, the incumbent will act as a liaison to senior leadership, faculty, trustees, and key partners, ensuring the SEVP's time and commitments are managed efficiently, with discretion and professionalism. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at anticipating institutional needs. Responsibilities
- Oversee and prioritize the SEVP's calendar, balancing strategic priorities and high-level engagements.
- Ensure the SEVP is fully briefed and prepared for all engagements, maintaining accurate, up-to-date materials and briefing documents.
- Lead the planning and coordination of internal and external meetings, including materials preparation, follow-up, and communications.
- Independently manage high-level events and engagements, collaborating with offices across the University to ensure alignment with institutional standards.
- Manage all aspects of travel, including itineraries, agendas, and accompanying materials for domestic and international engagements.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for the SEVP's office, modeling professionalism and discretion in all interactions.
- Prepare and edit reports, briefings, and presentations, coordinating with University offices to gather data and ensure accuracy.
- Support the Chief of Staff in calendar management, written communications, stakeholder engagement, and follow-through on internal initiatives.
- Partner with the President's Office and other key administrative units to advance collaborative efforts.
- Provide executive-level support to affiliated offices and senior advisors as needed.
- Perform additional responsibilities and special assignments as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of five years of experience supporting executive or senior-level administrators.
- Demonstrated success in managing office operations and navigating competing priorities.
- Experience collaborating with executive offices and high-level personnel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and organizational software.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends in support of institutional priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of an academic environment and an University's organizational structure.
