We are currently hiring for the following position: Position:Logistics Technician Location:1302 Lew Ross Road, Council Bluffs, IA 51501 Pay:$18-$22 an hour, depending on experience Shift:Monday-Friday, 7am - 4pm with flex time. Some Saturdays when needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate the movement of freight shipments controlled by Central Life Sciences. Ability to apply customer routing rules, contractual carrier limitations, company policies and follow hazardous materials regulations for respective modes of transit is imperative. Manages domestic and/or international orders and prepares shipping documents in compliance with transportation regulations and company freight contracts for all company-controlled freight moves. Comply with all company safety rules. Cross-train with all functions of the traffic department. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of the workings of the NMFC, logistics/warehouse/customer service experience is highly recommended. Current certifications for DOT, IATA and IMDG related to hazardous materials training (or must be completed w/in 30 days of hire) required. Experience with a TMS is desired.
