The Role

The Liquified Natural Gas / Compressed Natural Gas (LNG/CNG) Asset Management Senior Engineer is responsible for developing strategies, performing analyses, and creating plans that enable National Grid to build and maintain safe and reliable LNG/CNG facility operations while optimizing the return on investment from the company's LNG/CNG assets.

What You'll Do

* Provide risk-based Asset Management support of LNG and CNG assets in National Grid's New England Gas Service Territory (8 LNG Plants and 1 CNG Station)
* Set the Asset Management strategy to improve reliability, manage risk, meet regulatory requirements, and deliver customer satisfaction at optimum cost with consideration for rate case implications
* Work with LNG Operations to carry out field work and investigation to evaluate asset condition
* Translate requirements and business objectives into well-defined asset replacement projects and life extension programs with clearly defined business cases
* Develop, budget, and deliver asset plans for maintenance and capital investment to improve business performance for short (annual program work) and long term (10-year plan)

About You

* ABET accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline required
* 5+ years of engineering experience required
* 3+ years of experience at an LNG and/or CNG facility or similar, including naval or maritime experience preferred
* 1+ year relevant industry experience in process control and instrumentation or relevant educational experience preferred
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite required, Maximo preferred
* Professional Engineer (PE) License in MA and/or RI preferred
* Knowledge of NFPA 59A Code preferred
* Knowledge of current trends within the industry and developments in legislation or regulation preferred
* Valid driver's license required

More Information

Salary

$118,000 - $139,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
