Principal Clinical Trainer

Overview: The Principal Clinical Trainer supports providers in the field, especially those with limited independent practitioner experience. They will offer education and guidance on conducting an in-home exam, clinical recognition of common chronic condition complications, appropriate documentation, and reinforcement of the importance of following established standards and policies. This role will perform some supervision and provide feedback to the provider, as well as make recommendations on additional training for identified areas of improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Assess provider's clinical competence in performing in-home exams, and completeness of documentation within ePASS through shadowing of newly hired providers, providers with limited clinical experience, and providers that may require additional coaching;
  • Provide specific one-on-one coaching on quality issues identified in review of the clinical audit results;
  • Provide real-time feedback to the providers regarding strengths and areas of needed improvement;
  • Act as the clinical resource when questions arise in the field;
  • Develop action plans and strategies to help the clinicians develop needed skills for conducting in-home assessments;
  • Set timelines for clinician to be able to function independently, and in compliance with all aspects for the visit including documentation;
  • Monitor provider progress, and if quality issues are identified, appropriately include Inovalon Medical Director and/or Senior Director, Quality; and
  • Strategize with Quality personnel on remediation and appropriate next steps if issues are identified, including follow up and feedback after implementation of remediation.
  • Maintain compliance with Complexcare Solutions policies, procedures and mission statement;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Complexcare Solutions Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Complexcare Solutions for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;
  • Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function; and

Job Requirements:



  • Must be licensed and credentialed as a NP or PA;
  • Must have practitioner license in multiple states;
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing clinician is required;
  • Additional experience as a clinical auditor/coach in a health care setting preferred;
  • In-home assessment experience is a plus;
  • Travel for this position is required as needed for shadowing in-home assessments;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Leadership skills helpful to influence the internal responses to feedback and remediation coaching;
  • Superior interpersonal skills and customer-focus; and
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.


Education:



  • Must be licensed and credentialed as a NP or PA.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:



  • Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
  • Travel for this position is required.

In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At ComplexCare Solutions, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

$95,800 $143,600 USD
