Responsible for the creation and/or modification of production product packages to include bill of material, production decals, new part numbers, special drawings, catalog sheets, customer submittal sheets. Creation of Partial and Complete National Board Reports along with any amendments. Maintaining various databases, weekly MVP and lab finding reports, National Board Reports and Discrepancies etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Determine time line for packet and decals to be delivered to shop floor.
  • Prepare and print packet and decals.
  • Orders supplies according to replenishing schedule and resolves handling of special requests.
  • Ensures CSO file information is labeled for scanning or shredding.
  • Ensure National Board and PDR reports are filed in timely fashion to National Board and ERP system
  • Ensure proper sign offs from Inspectors, Engineering or AI are complete
  • Responsible for MVP Communication and tracking; BOM cost roll-up report
  • Ensure Tank database and ERP accuracy
  • Procad system administrator / Point of Contact
  • Develop standard operating procedures/standard work process for internal use
  • Record data, track errors and assist with reporting departmental metrics
  • Assists in orienting, and training support employees
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School or equivalent.
  • One year general office experience.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, CERTIFICATIONS & ABILITIES

  • Task oriented and highly focused.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Good organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills to include a thorough understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning technology systems and requirements.
  • Proficient personal computer and Microsoft Office skills to include working knowledge of databases.
  • Basic drafting and blueprint reading skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an office where the noise level is usually moderate i.e., business office with computer printer, and light traffic. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. When in the shop environment conditions may vary based on activity and project.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Frequently requires problem solving, analyzing and interpreting data, and extended focus.
  • Position requires sitting at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
  • Understanding of deadlines within a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to compare and evaluate possible courses of conduct and act or make decisions after various possibilities have been considered.
  • Regularly operates a personal computer and express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Frequently involves bending at the neck, twisting at the neck and waist, simple grasping, and fine manipulation.
  • Occasionally involves walking, standing, squatting, climbing, kneeling, reaching above and below the shoulder, lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
  • When in the plant is around equipment and machinery, walking on uneven ground, exposed to excessive noise, extreme temperatures or humidity, dust, gas, fumes or chemicals, working at heights, and requires the utilization of protective equipment as needed.
