PSC Group is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Technician to join our team! This full-time position would be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and adjusting equipment to ensure the Plant operates in a safe and reliable manner. Work Schedule: Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (day shift). On-call as needed.

Pay Range: Starting at $35.00 an hour with opportunity for advancement

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, understands, and redlines E&I documents including but not limited to ladder diagrams, motor controls, and P&ID's.
  • Installs, maintains, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and creates/updates documentation on electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Operates various electrical test equipment including but not limited to digital multi-meters and meggers.
  • Adheres to site permitting requirements.
  • Utilizes SAP. Updates job status and gives detailed project closeout descriptions.
  • Utilizes Allen-Bradley PLC and Emmerson products.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled Plant, Maintenance, and Safety meetings.
  • Collaborates with mechanics, line specialists, and operations on problem solving and continuous improvements
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs automated packaging and blending equipment, including sensors, controllers, and drives
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.


Preferred Job Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Process Control/Electronics or similar
  • Experience working in a refinery or chemical plant


Minimal Job Qualifications:



  • Three years' experience of instrumentation/electronics background or a combination of equivalent work and education.
  • Experience / familiarity with full array of permit requirements associated with petrochemical plant operation
  • Basic understanding of Allen-Bradley PLC systems
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
