The Team:

The fashion doll who started it all, Barbie, is a world-wide phenomenon and a leading global franchise. The Barbie Global Brand Marketing team sets the global brand strategy and develops marketing plans for regional teams to execute in market. We are seeking a Senior Marketing Associate dedicated to supporting Barbie's parent engagement and social impact initiatives.

The Opportunity:

This role supports the Manager, Global Brand Marketing, with a focus on developing and executing marketing strategies and launch plans that engage shoppers, foster meaningful connections with parents, and advance Barbie's social impact mission.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Campaign Development & Execution

  • Partner with the Manager, Parent & Social Impact Initiatives, to build global marketing plans aligned with Barbie's brand purpose and key social impact pillars.
  • Develop compelling marketing decks and communications to inspire and inform cross-functional partners and regional marketing teams.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of initiative performance, providing insights to refine strategies for maximum parent engagement and measurable social outcomes.
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing strategies and tactics grounded in consumer insights, parent needs, and societal trends.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, social responsibility trends, and competitor programs to identify new opportunities for Barbie to lead in positive change.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with global product development, corporate social responsibility, PR, regional marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of parent- and impact-focused campaigns.
  • Partner with the global product marketing team to assess the brand and social ROI of programs, building recap reports with measurable outcomes.
  • Act as a liaison between the brand marketing team and other departments to align objectives, share insights, and maintain consistent communication.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive collaboration and ensure a unified approach to advancing Barbie's brand purpose and engaging with parents/shoppers.

Project Management

  • Support the end-to-end project management of parent engagement and social impact campaigns, from concept development to execution and impact measurement.
  • Maintain operational excellence through clear communication of current and upcoming global marketing needs to cross-functional and regional teams.
  • Align with partners to track project timelines, ensuring all deliverables are met on schedule and within budget.
  • Distribute campaign materials, collect feedback from stakeholders, and consolidate responses for actionable improvements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business/Communications or related preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years Marketing experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with people at all levels
  • Must be comfortable presenting to large audiences
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong time management, planning and project execution skills
  • Computer proficiency: MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Studio/entertainment industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated agrowth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $111,000.

**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.Mattel offers competitive total pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to help empower a culture where every employee can reach their full potential.
