IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a part-time Senior Field Technicianin our Rockford, IL office. The Senior Field Technician must be capable of performing with little supervision. Fully knowledgeable of company standards, plans and specifications, capable of interpreting project plans and direct client contact. Demonstrates expertise with various common job site conditions, problems encountered in assigned territory, and proper procedures for rectification. Able to manage total Client-Contractor-Project Manager liaison. Makes documentation entries using IDR's or ICORS.

Principal Responsibilities

* Field work will primarily consist of describing soil properties and perform various field test tasks, such as determining the rate at which water percolates into the ground. Possess advanced knowledge of inspection operations, principles, and best practices.
* Duties may also include laboratory testing of soils and office work
* Understand operations and identifies potential problems
* Operate company vehicles
* Maintain equipment and vehicles
* Observe safety and security procedures

Required Skills/Abilities

* Observes safety and security procedures
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
* Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
* Must always maintain professional conduct
* Valid driver's license required with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier
* Advanced/Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Ability to travel up to 40% with occasional overnight stays

Education and Experience

* Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM), or Engineering preferred
* 8 years of experience minimum required, 10 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry preferred

Physical Requirements

* Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
* Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull
* Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises

Salary Range $74,000 - $94,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. This information is being provided in compliance with local laws
