What You'll Do

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead and coordinate audit activities for our $500M AEC firm. This role is responsible for preparing and managing audit processes, including U.S. GAAP and FAR audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in audit practices relevant to the AEC and government contracting space and will serve as a key partner in maintaining financial integrity and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation of audit files and schedules for the year-end US GAAP audits, FAR audits and other audits that may arise from time-to-time.
  • Collaborate with external tax auditors to manage audit timelines, respond to audit requests, and resolve audit findings efficiently.
  • Partner with the Accounting Leadership to develop and enhance financial policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
  • Coordinate with Accounting Leadership to develop and enhance financial policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
  • Coordinate with Accounting Leadership to conduct internal control testing procedures ensuring compliance with approved processes and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on GAAP and FAR compliance.
  • Monitor and assess changes in audit regulations and industry best practices, particularly those impacting government contractors and AEC firms.
  • Manage and perform other duties and tasks as deemed appropriate by Accounting Leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant audit experience, including direct experience with U.S. GAAP and FAR audit standards.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and financial reporting.
  • A deep expertise in audit practices relevant to the AEC industry and government contractors.
  • Experience working with external auditors and managing audit processes.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in the AEC industry or with government contracting is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in global accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio(nice to have))
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy.
