Job purpose:

  • Successful development and launch of New Models to achieve model and business targets.
  • Manage team communication and tracking during T-stage (Trial stage) events and into mass production for manufacturing department.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop department strategies and targets to meet or exceed project based on previous model reflections, and MMC direction and targets
  • Correlate new model activity with other new model projects and MMC to ensure adequate timing and resources. PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) as required.
  • Complete Catia Drawing reviews for equipment capabilities and provide feedback to Design and Tech teams.
  • Convert data for virtual programming and suppliers
  • RFID programming model codes Parts delivery system setup and Supplier Sub-assembly Drawing Spec Confirmation
  • Review all equipment application New Technology Install Confirmation - Complete delivery cycle time confirmation and quality acceptance for new model and any current models impacted Lead the development of the department project SAP for each development stage to include new strategies, technologies, previous model reflections, business plan linkage, future innovation, and each group / categories detailed tasks.
  • Prepare evaluation materials to meet required schedules using standardized formats that accurately represent project status vs the evaluation criteria so that evaluator(s) can make good judgment. Identify, prioritize and communicate concerns; lead and support related groups to perform high speed PDCA resolving issues.
  • Develop capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise for personal and team growt

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Experience:
    • 2 to 8 years engineering experience based on education
  • Other Job-Specific Skills:
    • Knowledge of the manufacturing environment & Microsoft Office.
    • Project Management skills
    • Ability to: read drawings/flowcharts/specifications; multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and tasks; work in a team environment as well as independently; and present to varying audiences
    • Can respond effectively to unusual demands and special projects.
    • Able to work with a diversity of associates without creating barriers or conflict.
