Position Summary:
One of Vaco's clients is seeking a Compliance Officerto join their Compliance team. This is an exclusive opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while supporting a growing, innovative organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of regulatory compliance, fraud detection, and risk controls, paired with exceptional communication and leadership skills.

This position reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)and involves oversight of compliance programs, regulatory monitoring, and managing a team of compliance analysts. It is a highly visible role requiring collaboration with senior leadership and a proactive approach to risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
* Regulatory Oversight:Conduct periodic compliance reviews, monitoring, and testing to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations and company policies.
* Risk Management:Assist with risk assessments, internal compliance reviews, and manage programs related to fraud detection, BSA/AML, and overall risk controls.
* Regulatory Change Management:Monitor and interpret regulatory changes (federal and state) and ensure timely updates to policies, procedures, and controls.
* Compliance Programs:Support and enhance company-wide compliance programs covering laws such as ECOA, TILA, FCRA, UDAAP, FDCPA, GLBA, and TCPA.
* Training & Guidance:Provide training and guidance to employees at all levels on compliance obligations and best practices.
* Reporting:Assist with compliance-related reporting to the Board and governance committees, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
* Team Leadership:Supervise and mentor compliance analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field.
* 6+ years of experiencein regulatory compliance within financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
* Strong knowledge of federal and state consumer protection regulations, including ECOA, TILA, FCRA, UDAAP, FDCPA, GLBA, and TCPA.
* Expertise in compliance programs and risk frameworks, including fraud detection and BSA/AML compliance.
* Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise leadership teams.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
