Position Title: Director Administrative Services and Associate General Counsel Reports To: Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Location: Louisville, Kentucky (in-office) Department: Administrative Services Position Summary: Alliance Technical Group is seeking a strategic and operational leader to serve as Director of Administrative Service and Associate General Counsel. This newly created role will support the CAO in managing legal affairs and business operations across all business units within the company which serves the environmental compliance sector. The ideal candidate will bring a strong legal background, business acumen, and industry insight to help drive efficiency, compliance, and strategic growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor and second-in-command to the CAO, supporting leadership across legal and business operations.
- Lead Legal Operations Team, consisting of paralegal and para-professional team members.
- Negotiate business transactions, including key commercial and legal terms, directly with clients and vendors. Provide legal counsel on contracts, litigation matters, regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to streamline operations, improve performance, and support strategic initiatives.
- Lead or support cross-functional projects, including M&A activity, contract negotiations, and operational improvements.
- Represent the CAO in internal and external meetings, ensuring alignment across departments and initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments to proactively address risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders.
- Integrate technology to enhance departmental performance.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership preferred.
- 2-5+ years of experience in legal practice, corporate law, or business operations leadership. Business/commercial/M&A/private equity law experience a plus.
- Experience in the environmental compliance or TICC industry strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and collaborate across functions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
- High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Preferred Attributes:
- MBA or equivalent business training.
- Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth company.
- Familiarity with North American compliance standards and environmental regulations.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The pay range is a competitive salary with benefits and a bonus program. The pay range for this position is dependent upon the qualifications and direct work history details for the most applicable candidate.
