POSITION SUMMARY

Develops and maintains relationships with vendors and suppliers. Evaluates and analyzes purchasing and price trends to identify forecasted demand requirements. Ensures that department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved quotes and delivery times based on commitments to the customer.

Essential Functions Statement(s)











* Analyze demand forecasts, market, and delivery conditions to determine current and future availability of materials and supplies.
* Responsible purchasing of materials and supplies to support and maintain operations schedules and other areas of the Company's activities.
* Identify alternate services and suppliers and recommend these sources for approval.
* Ensure adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy.
* Conduct inventory level analysis to determine optimal inventory levels.
* Provide information pertaining to costs and sources of supply for materials, equipment, and services.
* Interface with customers, suppliers, carriers to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Interface with suppliers to ensure production plan, delivery schedule and quality levels meet the demand plan.
* Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve shortages, missed or late delivers, and other problems.
* Assist in negotiation of Supply Agreements with suppliers (subject to legal final approval).
* Participate in a variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES





Education:

Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required; Field of Study: Business or equivalent experience in the aerospace industry.

Experience:

5 plus years of direct experience in materials management, supply chain or aerospace material repair with responsibility of procurement spend. Exceptional organizational skills along with effective time management skills. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assist in the management, analysis, and interpretation of data. Must be detail-oriented and possess multi-tasking skills. Strong verbal and written communication. Must be customer -focused and team-oriented.

Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge and proficient with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to effectively operate all applicable software. Advanced working knowledge with Excel.
