The Engineering manager establishes operational objectives and assignments and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. Operational objectives are reviewed by senior management to determine operational success. Manage and coordinate the work of a highly skilled engineering staff. Manages day-to-day engineering functions. The engineering manager is involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect local operations. Erroneous decisions will result in critical delays in scheduled operations and may jeopardize overall business activities. The engineering manager interacts with senior management on matters concerning several functional areas and requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations. The engineering manager manages activities of multiple departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods and employees. Education and/or Experience: BS in Engineering (ME/EE/CE/IE) with 10 years manufacturing and project management experience Language Skills: English with College level written and verbal skills Mathematical Skills: Skills commensurate with 4 year engineering degree Mathematical Skills: Skills commensurate with 4 year engineering degree Reasoning Ability: Root cause and abstract problem solving abilities Computer Skills: Competency in Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Simulation and project planning software.
