WGL - Sr Construction Specialist

WGL is seeking a strategic, solution-oriented, and forward-thinking professional to function as a Senior Construction Specialist to ensure that construction planning and management is accomplished cost-effectively in compliance with federal state and local codes other legal and contractual requirements, consistent with Corporate goals, objectives, and policies consistent with Regulatory policies and programs.

You Will

• Access, extract, and research data to develop and deliver reports and maintain records in the Work Management Information System (WMIS) or other Company systems and records.

• Measures, documents, and provides reports related to maintenance, compliance, resource utilization/ productivity, and performance

• Performs duties of a Supervisor when appropriate on an as-needed basis, including conducting regulatory training, evaluations, and clearances.

• Participate in regular meetings with Engineering, Permitting, Project Management, Construction, R&I, Mapping, and Contractors to review daily/weekly schedules and backlogs and track and coordinate document completion and corrections through closeout.

• Ensure safe and reliable expansion and replacement construction of the piping system in compliance with federal, state, and local codes and regulations

• Ensure compliance with budgetary limitations.

• Interact with internal and external customers and stakeholders regarding field-related matters, driving them to a mutually beneficial resolution to provide adequate and timely customer service.

You Have

• High School Diploma or GED. Associates or Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.

• 4 + years of engineering or construction experience.

• Working knowledge of pipeline construction, replacement; operations and maintenance; emergency response procedures and practices, or federal, state, and local codes and regulations.

• Supervisory experience preferred.

• Possess reliable transportation that can carry various tools and equipment for business use as required.

• Maintain valid driver's license and other certifications as required.

We offer a competitive salary range of $76,000 to $109,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
