The University of Iowa Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a PRN sonographer to work weekends in our Davenport clinic. The sonographer will perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided procedures under physician supervision. This position includes moving and lifting equipment and patients. This is a temporary hourly position that does not include benefits. Requirements: * CAAHEP accredited or equivalent program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography or Vascular Technology, or * Completion of a two-year or more accredited health science program (i.e. Radiologic Technology, Medical Technology, Nursing, etc.) plus completion of a twelve-month formal education program in Sonography, or * Completion of a bachelor's degree plus completion of a twelve-month formal education program in Sonography * Requires registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in OB/Gyn. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Certification in scanning nuchal lucency by the Fetal Medicine Foundation. Pay is commensurate with experience.
