Job Responsibilities

Loads, unloads and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.

• Complies with the Koppers safety program.

• Communicates with other employees and operators as needed.

• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.

• Maintains all bunded areas and keep them free of debris and water

• Moves trailers/railcars as necessary for staging, inspects all trailers/railcars prior to loading for any issues

• Reads SOP's, work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.

• Reads and set flow meters to allow loading of trailers/railcars.

• Cleans all hoses on return and inner and outer valves

• Loads materials into vehicles and installs seals, placards and any other necessary documentation.

• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.

• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on containers.

• Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.

• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment.

• Operates tractor for trailers, valves, pulls samples, changes filters and follows directions.

• Identifies and communicates cost reduction and process improvement ideas.

• Offloads in-coming raw material tankers and trucks

• Log loads using mobile computer and ScaleIt app

• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements

• At least two years in chemical industry preferred.

• Knowledge of the process and understanding of the respective SOP and safety rules.

• Must maintain good attendance record.

• Must be willing to work as team player.

• Experience with ScaleIt software preferred

• Experience maneuvering tanker trailers strongly preferred
