WHY RELIAS ENGINEERING?

Relias is dedicated to measurably improving the lives of the most vulnerable members of society and those who care for them. Your work here directly supports clinicians and caregivers by strengthening the workforce that serves them.
Our GRC solutions bring policy, regulation, risk, and incident management together with award winning training content in a single platform-helping healthcare and human services organizations reduce risk, simplify audits, and stay ahead of regulatory change.

What sets our engineering team apart:
* Opportunities to work with State-of-the-art AI & agentic capabilities. Build with modern AI tooling and emerging agentic patterns; contribute to intelligent assistants and automation in our platform. We provide many upskilling opportunities (courses, certifications, and internal tech talks). We're 100% cloud-native, so if you have strong cloud experience you'll feel right at home.
* 10O scale challenges. Tackle multi-tenant SaaS architecture, high-throughput eventing, data privacy and security, and resilient microservices as we scale the platform by an order of magnitude. Help design and ship the next generation of agentic workflows.
* High-velocity, quality-obsessed. We iterate quickly with short feedback loops. Our strong customer loyalty and retention keep us laser-focused on product quality-automated testing, CI/CD, and observability are table stakes.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We're looking for a seasoned engineering people leader with a passion for healthcare and solving tough problems to help scale our GRC platform. You will lead one or more agile implementation teams (software and test engineers), set clear technical direction, and deliver high impact features across the Relias GRC product line. You'll balance coaching and career development with hands on architectural guidance to ship reliable, scalable cloud software used by healthcare organizations nationwide. This role manages approximately 12-15 direct reports and gives you a front row seat to the rapid growth of the healthcare GRC market.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

* Delivering software features and bug fixes: Owning outcomes for the GRC product area-prioritizing, planning, and shipping iteratively with high quality, observability, and reliability across our microservices and UI.
* Leading & growing the team: Coaching engineers, setting clear expectations, running effective 1:1s, and developing career paths; foster a healthy, inclusive, high ownership culture.
* Guiding technical strategy and driveing cross-team initiatives: Making sound architectural decisions (services, data, integration, security) and driving standards that balance speed with long-term maintainability. Partnering with cross-functional teams to influence product designs and rollout.
* Deepening domain & platform expertise: Building working knowledge of healthcare compliance/GRC workflows and our platform's tools, services, and best practices; raising the bar on engineering excellence.
* Acting as Agile delivery lead: Facilitating backlog management, refinement, sprint planning, and reviews; partnering closely with Product, Design, and Compliance SMEs to remove roadblocks and keep commitments.

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

* Leadership: 3+ years leading, mentoring, and developing technical talent on agile teams.
* Software Development: 7+ years total experience, including 2-5 years with .NET Core/C#.
* Frontend: Working knowledge with Angular or React, plus HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript.
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
* Architecture: Hands on system design with service oriented and microservices patterns.
* Data: 1+ years with SQL Server or other relational/non relational databases.
* Cloud & DevOps: Working knowledge of Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP; CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern SDLC practices.
* Delivery & Collaboration: Strong problem solving, prioritization, and stakeholder communication skills; ability to engage both technical and non technical partners.

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAVE:

* Healthcare compliance or GRC domain exposure (e.g., HIPAA, OIG guidance, audit workflows).
* Experience with multi tenant SaaS, event driven architecture, and production observability.
* Security minded development (threat modeling, secrets management, secure SDLC).
* AI(LLM) and Agentic workflow development experience is a nice to have.
* Azure certification (AZ-900 or AZ-204) preferred. (If not already current, AZ-900 Certification will be required within 60 days of employment and AZ-204 Certification will be required within 6 months of employment)
