Job Description


PCG is seeking a Learning Experience Specialist to join our Strategic Development team located in our corporate headquarters in Lenexa, KS. In this role, you'll combine technical know-how and instructional design expertise to craft seamless learning experiences across the organization-from identifying needs and designing solutions to administering content and supporting users in our Learning Management System (LMS).

As the primary system support contact for learning technologies, you'll provide first-line troubleshooting assistance and educate users on LMS functionality. You'll also collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver high-impact learning experiences that drive performance and professional growth.

Responsibilities

This position will contribute to the overall success of our learning and development initiatives in both strategic and supportive ways. The role requires collaboration with all levels - from individual contributors to top leadership - to ensure a positive experience for learners and to provide best-in-class issue management and resolution. As a part of our team, you will work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Learning Design



  • Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to develop both digital and in-person training experiences.
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), content creators, and stakeholders to identify learning needs and translate them into impactful solutions.
  • Design and develop storyboards, eLearning modules, facilitator guides, and job aids.
  • Continuously evaluate learning content to ensure alignment with organizational goals and learner feedback.


Learning Systems Support



  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees with LMS questions or issues, providing hands-on troubleshooting and user education.
  • Act as the primary system administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS)-responsible for configuration, maintenance, course setup, and implementation of new features.
  • Collaborate with vendors and IT to ensure system functionality, integration, and performance.
  • Manage learning data including enrollments, completions, reporting, and analytics.


Collaboration & Innovation



  • Work closely with the Strategic Development team to drive a unified learning experience strategy.
  • Explore new tools and methods to elevate learner engagement and digital adoption.
  • Support project management efforts using agile and iterative development approaches.


Basic Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in instructional design or L&D.
  • 2+ years of learning systems administration; Cornerstone preferred.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and quickly learn new software, applications, and tools.
  • Technologically proficient with a strong working knowledge of learning technologies and business tools, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360), video/audio editing software (e.g., Camtasia, Audacity), web conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams), web development platforms, design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva), and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and personal leadership skills.
  • Ability to contribute to projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from analysis to evaluation and continued iteration.
  • Strong data analysis, evaluation, and reporting skills.
  • Must be comfortable in a team environment and willing to collaborate and contribute on a variety of projects by refining ideas, strategizing around new initiatives, and iterating ongoing initiatives to achieve the desired results and continually improve approaches
  • Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills; able to simplify complex ideas to suit diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience analyzing data and generating reports to inform learning effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Skilled in designing for a variety of formats and mediums, including SCORM-compliant eLearning, video, web, and print-based materials.
  • Ability to manage the full learning lifecycle-from needs analysis and design to development, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment and contributing to brainstorming, refinement, and iteration of ongoing projects.


Preferred Requirements

  • Cornerstone LMS experience (or equivalent system)
  • Articulate 360 experience (or equivalent authoring software)
  • Techsmith product (Camtasia, Snagit) experience
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) experience
  • Construction industry experience a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish fluency a plus
