Job Description:

TITLE: Retrofit Solution Senior Engineer

EMPLOYER: Airbus Americas, Inc.

LOCATION: Mobile, AL

DUTIES:

Developing aircraft modifications per project plan. Developing and managing program enablers and ensure their timely and high-quality delivery. Managing all stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of aircraft engineering projects. Managing subcontractors and associated cost and delivery. Developing the retrofit solutions global architecture. Developing the aircraft certification plan and supporting the certification process as required. Supporting onsite modification team as required including direct onsite support at customer or MRO facility. In charge of answering and resolving queries during and after work instruction and kit delivery.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and
5 years in any job title involving experience in aircraft modification including narrow body aircraft cabin. Prior experience must also include the following: Experience with project or program engineering in an aircraft manufacturing environment; Experience in leading engineering design reviews and presenting aircraft modification requirements to airline customers, Program Managers and certification team; Experience in aircraft cabin modification and MRO operation; Experience in FAA and EASA regulations with regards to parts procurement, documentation, and traceability; Experience supporting the onsite
modification team at the customer or the MRO facility; and Experience writing reports, technical memorandums, interface agreements, work statements, engineering modification documents in support of airworthiness certification process.

Up to 10% domestic and international travel required to support airline customers in various engineering design reviews and onsite installation support. Telework permitted up to 2 days per week.
