Command, Control, Intelligence, and Encryption (C2I&E)

By joining our Command, Control, Intelligence, and Encryption (C2I&E) business, you will be a member of a team dedicated to providing innovative solutions that streamline the preparation and execution of intricate, mission-critical operations. We focus on enhancing situational awareness, tactical command and control, and seamless video data exchange capabilities within a dynamic, multi-domain environment.

Job Description
Ultra I&C is seeking an HR Manager to support our growing U.S. workforce of 200 employees across five offices. Based in Austin, TX, this role will report directly to the VP of HR and work closely with our internal Talent Acquisition/HR Business Partner to drive people strategy, culture, and engagement across the organization.

This hybrid position works a minimum of 3 days onsite per week (Tues - Thurs) and may be required more as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP of HR and business leaders to deliver on HR priorities including talent management, performance management, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
  • Lead employee relations matters-conducting investigations, resolving concerns, and partnering with legal counsel when required.
  • Develop and manage HR processes, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support compensation, benefits, and wellness programs in alignment with company strategy.
  • Provide training, coaching, and development support to managers and employees.
  • Partner with internal TA/HRBP on recruiting and retention strategies to ensure competitive practices in key markets.
  • Monitor and analyze HR data, preparing reports and insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Drive culture and engagement initiatives across all five U.S. sites.
  • Travel to sites as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in defense, aerospace, or manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience balancing strategic HR initiatives with tactical execution.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, and compliance requirements across multiple states.
  • Ability to build trust and credibility quickly with employees and leaders.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance. US Citizenship required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • SPHR/PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification, or willingness to obtain within 1 year.
  • Prior HR experience supporting defense or aerospace contractors.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting and presenting HR data.
  • Knowledge of Workday or similar HRIS.
