Senior Technical Training Specialist

Edgewater Federal Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Technical Training Specialist. This role will train on the design and implementation of a robust security infrastructure that protects client data and systems (both on-premises and in the cloud) from internal and external threats. This work will be conducted onsite in Washington, DC.

Developing and coordinating an overall training curriculum for end users of all levels.
• Developing and delivering courses for new and existing apps, including all course materials, exercises, and skills evaluations.
• Presenting instructor-led training sessions both virtually (via Teams Webinar preferred) and in-person.
• Incorporating creative and interactive training techniques to enhance training experiences.
• Reviewing training materials and documentation and keeping them up to date.
• Working in consultation with decision makers to create and communicate training schedules.
• Assessing and recommending courseware packages and training tools.
• Using a Learning Management System to track participants' status and results, as well as course offerings, class schedules and registration.
• Creating and administering training feedback mechanisms.
• Analyzing results, making recommendations for training improvement, and integrating changes in curriculum and/or courses.
• Monitoring progress of training efforts and providing status updates and recommendations as needed.
• Working with subject matter experts to keep apprised of changes and customizations to applications.
• Planning, coordinating, and conducting long and short-term projects with limited supervision.
• Providing input to the training team to discuss current and future training.
• In-depth understanding of adult learning principles, methodologies, and course design techniques.
• Conducting research into course development and delivery concepts.
• Expert-level use of core M365 Online tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, OneNote), with intermediate level ability in Planner and Visio online.
• Intermediate-level ability with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps) desirable.
• Designing, creating, editing, and publishing multi-media self-paced learning content - video or interactive (desirable, but not required).

• BS/BA in education, instructional design, educational technology, or relevant field or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least 8 years' experience designing, developing, and delivering training programs and individual classes.
