Salary range:
Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation depending on specialty can range from $121,900-219,600. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description

The University of California, Irvine, Department of Medicine, is seeking candidates for an In-Residence faculty position in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Applicants must have a strong record of scholarly output in basic, epidemiological, or translational research on diabetes and metabolism. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate recent success in securing significant research funding. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse academic and clinical environment are additional requirements.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct substantial research, obtain funding from contracts and grants, mentor research fellows and students, and perform public and University service.

Academic rank, series, and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A generous package of retirement benefits is included when employed by the University of California. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
