Program Manager - Marketing (Junior-level)

LEEAF Program

Work Schedule
This is a part-time non-exempt position, approximately 25 hours per week. Hourly compensation ranges from $28.85 to $31.25 based on experience. This position is not eligible for benefits. It is a grant-funded position with an expiration date and is subject to renewal upon availability of funding.

Essential Functions
The LEEAF Program Manager Jr. (Marketing) serves in a staff support role for the LEEAF program, with a specific focus on marketing and communications. This position supports day-to-day operations related to public-facing storytelling, social media content, and digital engagement strategies. The Program Manager will work in collaboration with lead faculty of the LEEAF program and with LEEAF staff, alongside a diverse array of partners and trainers. The position will be supported by all positions in the grant and supervised primarily by the PI in Sociology.

Essential to this role is the ability to understand and elevate the LEEAF brand, track communication efforts, and provide targeted support across the program's outreach and visibility initiatives. In addition to contributing to the mission of LEEAF, the Program Manager will benefit from mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities.

Responsibilities
Though work may include additional projects assigned by supervisors, the main work falls into these categories:
* Lead by example, developing expertise in key outreach and marketing practices and helping others find meaning, satisfaction, and clarity in LEEAF's work.
* Contribute to LEEAF's long-term visibility goals, participating in planning sessions related to marketing strategy, recruitment efforts, and digital storytelling.
* Ensure strong communication within and outside the team, crafting and circulating content calendars, newsletters, outreach campaigns, and updates for internal and external audiences.
* Manage data systems and performance indicators related to marketing efforts (e.g., social media insights, email engagement, event RSVPs), contributing to reporting and evaluation.
* Support implementation of marketing budgets, including purchasing materials, tracking promotional expenses, and managing digital assets.
* Maintain sustainability by communicating professional needs, engaging in mentorship opportunities, and participating in a personal development plan aligned with your growth goals.

Qualifications (Recommended)
* Comfort in communicating with partners from a wide range of backgrounds
* Understanding of issues facing low-income communities and communities of color in Southern California, particularly in East and South LA
* Comfort with social media and wide range of digital tools (e.g., Google office tools)
* Innovative, resilient, organized, taking initiative, responsive, collaborative, able to multi-task and detail-oriented
* Interest and ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment
