POSITION TITLE: Commercial Operations Generalist DEPARTMENT: Loan Operations FLEXIBLE WORK PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY CODE: Hybrid Work (HW) & Flextime (FLT) Function: Under the general direction of the First Vice President of Loan Operations, and in collaboration with the Commercial Team Lead, the employee will review and process all commercial loans originated by Commercial Lending Department, in accordance with corporate policy, and state and federal regulations. This position performs all tasks associated with BayCoast Bank's Commercial Loan portfolio. Duties:
- Perform loan set-up on core system (COCC Insight) along with any monetary transactions. This includes the accurate assessment of loan fees. Additionally, this person is responsible for processing each deal in accordance with the promissory note, loan approval, and any other loan documentation. Each deal varies and will require analytical and interpretative skills.
- Perform a quality control review of all new commercial loan bookings. Verify all required documents are present and have been completed accurately. This requires the review of moderate-to-complex documentation for accuracy of data and conformity to established procedures and policies.
- Perform file maintenance on commercial loan accounts including modifications, extensions, renewals, and any other amendments to terms of the agreement.
- Track missing collateral or insurance documentation not received in closing package. Follow-up with administrators and lenders to ensure documentation exceptions and pending items are resolved in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain records on CoreLogic for real estate tax tracking.
- Perform routine transactions on commercial loan accounts, including payment processing and the daily postings of commercial loan payoffs and advances.
- Quote and prepare all commercial loan payoffs. This includes the assessment of discharge fees.
- Process all credit inquiries and audit verifications for commercial accounts.
- Assist with the maintenance of various portfolios, including but not limited to, construction loans, participations loans (lead and non-lead), SWAP loans, and SBA loans.
- Process payments on all loans that have an interest reserve and monitor remaining balances.
- Perform a daily/weekly/monthly review of various department reports.
- Manage loan payoffs as well as the partial release of collateral and the discharge of collateral for all commercial loans. Review registries, verify collateral documents, and file discharges and terminations with the appropriate entities through Simplifile and Lien Solutions. Mail payoff packages to customers who have paid off their loans.
- Serve as commercial customer contact for questions relating to the servicing of their accounts. Perform loan review and maintenance, resolving both commercial loan and deposit issues. Provide additional customer service back-up for other sections of the Operations departments.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as requested. Overtime is required during high volume periods to keep up with workflow.
