Description

SRC is searching for a Military member with experience in Project Management desiring to enhance their military experience with project planning and scheduling, budget management, change management, and quality assurance (QA) for the installation requirements as a contractor intern for United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) command and control facilities. Work supporting USSPACECOM will be conducted at the government's facilities in Colorado Springs, CO. During this program the service member will be on-site working in a government facility performing an individual internship in amid-level to senior-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Our Military Internship Program is open to all ranks and experience levels.

    Developing comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, milestones, deliverables, and timelines, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with USSPACECOM objectives and requirements
  • Creating and managing the project budget, ensuring funds are allocated appropriately and efficiently, monitoring expenditures and ensures the project stays within financial constraints
  • Serving as the primary point of contact between the project team and USSPACECOM stakeholders, facilitating regular meetings and provides updates on project status, risks, and changes
  • Implementing quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet USSPACECOM standards and specifications Conducts regular reviews and audits to maintain high-quality project outputs
  • Overseeing the selection, negotiation, and management of vendors and contractors
  • Ensuring external partners meet contractual obligations and performance standards
  • Managing changes to project scope, schedule, and budget through formal change control processes, ensuring that any changes are communicated and approved by stakeholders
  • Maintaining detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and records
  • Preparing and submitting regular progress reports to USSPACECOM leadership and other relevant parties

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience as Project Manager supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope ($40M-50M, 35-40 personnel)
  • Bachelor-s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT related field and at least five (5) years of experience managing a program of similar in size and scope ($40M-50M, 35-40 personnel)
  • Management experience in an enterprise-level (minimum of 1k users) DOD C4I/IT environment
  • Possess IAT/IAM Level II or greater (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)


Desired Skills

  • Familiarity in the program/project status and schedules using MS Project
  • Familiarity with DEVOPS, Jira
  • Serves in the US Space Force or US Air Force


Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
