Join a winning team supporting our Scripps Green Hospital as a Solid Organ Transplant Coordinator in the Organ Acquisition department. This tight knit group works together to support our providers and to also provide exceptional service to our patients. As a Solid Organ Transplant Coordinator for this location, you will work in partnership with the transplant team to help get patients evaluated and listed for transplant. You will also help to build referrals and assist with the business aspects of our program.

  • Providing expert management across the four stages of transplant care: referral for transplant evaluation, transplant list waiting period, hospitalization for transplant and post-transplant follow-up.
  • Notifying of recipients, education of recipients, families and living donors.
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are followed and are in alignment with United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS).
  • Regularly displaying a proactive approach to customer service by listening to the patient, taking ownership of solutions and being able to accurately identify the need to involve leadership in order to resolve concerns.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal organizations skills.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft office software, preferable mastery in use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well with others in a hospital setting and maintain professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and to lead a project.
  • Excellent skills in communication and education with patients and patients' families.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Transplant experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years in clinical data management preferred.
