Regional Psychologist (Organizational Consulting Psychologist)

This position requires an active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI.
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a U.S. Citizen.

The Regional Psychologist serves as an organizational consultant providing expert psychological services and leadership advisement to military commands. This role supports human performance optimization, organizational change management, resilience training, and behavioral interventions, ensuring mission readiness and promoting the psychological well-being of Soldiers, civilians, and leadership. The position requires travel to multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations to deliver direct consultation and training.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Regional Psychologist: $
Pay commensurate with experience.

Regional Psychologist Responsibilities Include:

  • Practice psychology within the guidelines of state licensing boards, APA Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and Military Treatment Facility privileges to maintain professional and ethical standards.
  • Comply with Army OTSG/MEDCOM, DHA, and Combatant Command Force Health Protection policies when conducting deployment-related psychological assessments.
  • Provide expert consultation to commanders and unit leadership on human performance factors including policy application, work schedule optimization, maladaptive behavior management, resilience, environmental stressors, and motivational strategies.
  • Deliver leadership coaching to enhance leader effectiveness in achieving mission and organizational goals without assuming supervisory roles.
  • Facilitate liaison and coordination between unit leadership and installation medical resources to identify and implement mental health and performance support services.
  • Develop and advise on training programs and educational initiatives grounded in evidence-based psychological principles that promote organizational wellness and align with DoD and Army policy.
  • Conduct domestic and international travel to Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) CONUS and OCONUS, providing direct consultation and support at multiple locations during the Period of Performance.
  • Develop and present formal briefings, communication products, and reports to INSCOM leadership at all levels.

Regional Psychologist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested:

Education:

  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical or Industrial and Organizational Psychology from an APA-accredited institution.

Internship/Residency:

  • Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship in psychology.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years full-time post-licensure treatment experience with documented supervision and management experience.
  • Proven background in organizational psychology, organizational change management, communication, operational consultation, and liaising.
  • Experience in training program development, behavioral interventions, critical incident response, public speaking, and case management.

Licensure:

  • Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in any U.S. State, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands.

Certifications:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association or Red Cross-approved program.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Independent practice with high ethical standards and professional conduct in psychological service delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse military and civilian populations including enlisted personnel, officers, senior leadership, and family members.
  • Ability to prepare and present formal briefings and communication products to leadership at all echelons.
  • Understanding of military lifestyle and culture strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships, work professionally with maturity, positive attitude, tact, and good judgment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, able to handle multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable with domestic and foreign travel requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
