About The Position

The Supervisor, ASC - Business Services is responsible for overseeing and managing daily workflows in various Service areas accurately in accordance with company policies, multiple collective bargaining agreements, and state and federal regulations. The supervisor assists the team with their tasks during busy times. This position offers the opportunity to rotate and gain professional growth in the following areas: Accounts Receivable Payments (Combining Electronic Payments and Treasury Transaction), and Accounts Payable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise a staff of professionals responsible for accurately applying customer payments, reviewing invoices for accuracy.
  • Provides regular performance feedback to staff, ensures day-to-day work is completed, ensures employees are given tools, training and resources needed to perform and exceed in their jobs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures, controls, and objective metrics to facilitate accurate measurements of performance.
  • Maintain and review production to identify, report and troubleshoot various problems and issues; take prompt remedial and corrective action, when necessary, based upon business objectives.
  • Encourage and facilitate a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement by identifying, analyzing, recommending, and implementing process improvements to advance overall operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a liaison between Ameren business units and necessary external service providers.
  • Maintain a high degree of integrity to safeguard the Company's position on confidential matters.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study required with 5 years of relevant experience. Associate degree from an accredited college in a relevant field of study required with 7 years of relevant experience or in lieu of higher education, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required. Knowledge of regulatory matters preferred. Previous supervisory or high-level project team leadership experience preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Able to make sound decisions and possess a high level of organizational skills; creative self-starter with strong interpersonal skills - able to work effectively as a team and with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, including presentation, written and verbal. Must possess strong skills in MS Office, Word, and Excel.

Additional Information

After preliminary review, selected applicants must take the First Line Supervisor Test and obtain a recommended status to be eligible for additional selection procedures (e.g., interview) designated for this position.

Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$86,400.00 - $133,900.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
