Summary: Under Responsibilities: The - Assists in recruitment of new study participants - Assists with acquisition and analysis of electroencephalography (EEG) - Administers neuropsychological tests to study participants, per study - Establishes and maintains study records for participants - Reviews literature pertaining to research being conducted in the - Gathers, tabulates, graphs, develops explanatory charts and analyzes - Performs administrative tasks, including expense reimbursement and institutional - May review medical records to abstract information necessary to Other information: BASIC KNOWLEDGE: Completion of a bachelor's degree in the scientific field off the research being conducted, including psychology, neuroscience, or a related area Requires a working knowledge of statistics, computer programming and research methodology. Requires a professional level of knowledge of the scientific field germane to the research being conducted. Requires strong interpersonal skills. Requires proficiency with Office 365. Proficiency with MATLAB, R, and/or SPSS preferred. EXPERIENCE: Three to six months related experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Works in a laboratory environment with possible exposure to human serum. Hazards are minimized with adherence to established safety protocols.
INDEPENDENT ACTION: Performs independently with the department's policies and practices. Refers specific complex problems to the supervisor when clarification of the departmental policies and procedures is required.
