Reporting to the Director of Concurrent Enrollment, the Concurrent Enrollment (CE) Coordinator works with students who are earning university credit while in high school. This position advises high school students and their parents regarding all concurrent enrollment opportunities. The Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator also guides students toward high school graduation, shares requirements of the Opportunity Scholarship, and provides information about transferring to other institutions, when needed. The CE Coordinator also serves as the primary liaison between the CE Department and its secondary education partners, including high school counselors, teachers, and registrars. This position is part of a rapidly growing department and requires collaboration with multiple public-school systems and University departments. This position is housed in the Concurrent Enrollment Department, which is part of the Academic Community Engagement (ACE) Division. Responsibilities

- Advise students and parents on CE course selection to support high school graduation, UT GE Completion Certificate, Career and Technical Education (CTE) Certificates, associate degrees, and credit transferability.
- Register students for CE classes.
- Coordinate new CE teacher proposal paperwork between the university and high schools.
- Manage reports related to student enrollments, unpaid tuition, and final grades.
- Keep CE website and handouts updated with accurate, relevant information.
- Refer students to appropriate campus resources (e.g., Financial Aid, Disability Resource Center, TRiO, Counseling, etc.).
- Participate in student retention initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, teachers, and registrars.
- Conduct regular site visits to partnering high schools.
- Plan and lead trainings for high school CE teachers and counselors.
- Organize and facilitate recurring CE Counselor meetings to ensure timely communication and collaboration.
- Attend professional development opportunities related to academic advisement and secondary education counseling.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
-
- Bachelor's degree by start date; Master's Degree in Counseling or Advisement preferred.
- Background must show the ability to positively relate to multicultural students, first-generation students, and low-income students; Advising or related work experience in both high school and college level preferred.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with faculty, staff, high school students, and their parents.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), with willingness to learn new systems.
- Knowledge about GE and CTE Pathways for Concurrent Enrollment students preferred.
- Familiarity with UT programs and offerings preferred.
- Experience with Banner, Degree Works, Canvas, Adobe Creative Suite, and Publisher preferred.

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Full-time overtime-exempt staff position. Annual salary of $44,000-47,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Desired start date of September 2025.
