Under the leadership of the Senior Assistant Director of Admissions for Recruitment, the Regional Admissions Counselor is an integral part of the Admissions team by participating in recruitment of new students, to Utah Tech University. This position will work from home and on the road to coordinate student recruitment efforts in Northern Utah. This particular coordinator will be living and working in Davis County, Salt Lake County, or Utah County.

Responsibilities
-
- Develop and implement a holistic recruitment strategy for prospective undergraduate students in Northern Utah and surrounding states.
- Building relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors, alumni, and other constituents in support of the recruitment goals.
- Support prospective students as they move through the recruitment process through all communication channels, answering questions about the admissions process, alleviating concerns, assisting with application submission, and following through to enrollment. This includes:
- Generating and analyzing enrollment analytics within the assigned territory to make data-driven recruitment decisions, identify trends, and optimize outreach strategies.
- Utilizing data management tools and CRM systems (Slate) to track and assess recruitment efforts, enrollment trends, and applicant progress.
- Preparing reports on admissions statistics, campaign effectiveness, and recruitment ROI, offering insights and recommendations to improve enrollment strategies.
- Coordinate and market student recruitment events.
- Represent the University at college fairs, job fairs, student recruitment events, etc.
- Generate and analyze enrollment analytics of assigned territory and make strategic student recruitment decisions based on data analysis.
- Work with Ambassadors, educating them on recruiting in your prospective territory.
- Conduct research on student enrollment patterns and retention trends to refine outreach strategies, enhance engagement, and improve conversion rates. Collaborate with university marketing and admissions teams to develop targeted recruitment campaigns, assess their effectiveness, and refine communication strategies.
- Assist with any new student recruitment activities as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
- Leverage insights from regional research, demographic trends, and target market data to identify key recruitment opportunities, enhance marketing strategies, and tailor outreach efforts based on prospective students' needs. Measure and assess communication effectiveness within the admissions funnel, making data-driven recommendations to enhance student engagement and conversion rates.
- Develop predictive strategies using historical enrollment data to forecast application trends, identify high-potential prospective students, and refine marketing and recruitment strategies, ensuring targeted and efficient outreach efforts.
- Conduct A/B testing on individual email outreach to optimize engagement, improve response rates, and tailor messaging based on student behavior and performance data.
- Perform other duties as assigned. This position will require travel in support of student recruitment activities. Travel will be required for extended periods of time. Position will be required to live in Northern Utah (Ogden, Salt Lake, Utah County or surrounding area) and perform administrative tasks from a home office when not traveling for recruitment events and activities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Ability to live in in the assigned regional area and work from home required.
- Ability to travel in support of student recruitment activities, both for short and extended periods of time.
- Experience in relationship building, marketing, or sales preferred; experience in student recruitment and student leadership preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and professionally handle multiple/competing priorities.
- Ability to exercise critical thinking skills to improve workload.
- Comfortable in a university environment working with students, faculty, and staff from multiple backgrounds and nationalities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Full-time overtime-exempt staff position. Annual salary of $45,000 with a desired start date of October 2025. Excellent benefits package included that begins on start date; includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, employee assistance and wellness programs, retirement plan contributions, and undergraduate tuition waivers for employees and eligible dependents, as well as paid holidays in addition to sick and vacation leave accruals.
