DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Roadway Programs Technician 1 position is centered around monitoring and inspecting roadside programs and contracted services. Special attention is given to the herbicide program and includes monitoring inventory and ensuring for the proper storage of all county herbicide material. This professional meets with contractors and ensures that crews have the proper equipment and materials necessary to complete projects, and that imposed safety standards are being followed. This position is also responsible for performing clerical and manual work in the operation of the county storeroom, in addition to controlling the receipt, storage, and issuance of automotive equipment repair parts, accessories, tires, tubes, batteries, oils, greases, and all other items related to the storeroom. Excellent organizational skills are vital in order to maintain detailed records of projects, document inventory levels and usage, and maintain county files. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position may require winter shift work as necessary.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or
- An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
