Summary:

Under the supervision of the Manager - Faculty HR Administration, the HR Associate provides critical administrative and logistical support in the area of personnel operations for the Khoury College of Computer Sciences.

This position requires someone with a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding, employee compensation etc.


  • You will serve as lead administrator on several key processes and is responsible for coordinating, preparing, and tracking human resources transactions for employees in the college.
  • You will support postdocs, full time faculty, part time faculty, exchange visitors and student workers.
  • Working as a part of an HR team within the College, this role will be focused on several key HR functions, such as job posting, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, time tracking, visiting scholar appointments, and I-9 compliance.
  • Specifically, you will focus on managing the college's part time lecturer hiring and rehiring process: communicating with campus directors to confirm assignments, generating appointment letters and processing payments for part-time faculty. Processing new hires and onboarding new hires.
  • You will maintain accurate personnel files and records, and will serve as back-up for team members during absences.
  • Other responsibilities include staying current with all new Human Resources policies and procedures and maintaining Khoury HR systems.
  • You will provide excellent customer service to Khoury leaders, managers, and faculty and proactively resolves problems, serving as the primary liaison between Khoury employees and university Human Resources on issues related to hiring, data accuracy, benefits, payroll, time tracking, etc. In addition, the HR Associate is responsible for creating and updating process documentation, workflows, and guides for HR hiring and onboarding practices.
  • You must have exceptional attention to detail, be well-organized and able to juggle multiple competing priorities, clearly and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.



Skills or Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree
  • 4-5 years of Professional HR Experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly Organized
  • Strong communication skills
  • Workday experience is a plus
